The existing 1.0.0 packages were built on etch and that dependency was dynamically determined. Jaunty doesn't have libpq4, so you get an error. When 1.1 is released we will build binaries for several targets, including jaunty, and make them available at separate apt sources (and eventually in universe proper). For now if you want to use 1.0.0 (or SVN) you can build the packages yourself on jaunty and they will get the right depends.
