Well I tested my theory and removed the hard drive on the server, Installed Ubuntu v9.04, installed fossology and then backed up all the files I saved off the previous clear5 server.
I ran test and no suprise but I had lots of errors just like before. ============================================== 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : FATAL: The difference is Repository 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : Observed on scheduler system: Repository: clear6 * cd ff # Tue Nov 24 09:53:25 2009 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : Mismatch on clear4: Repository: clear6 * cd ff # Tue Nov 24 13:33:03 2009 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : FATAL: Configuration on agent 'clear6' differs from scheduler. 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : FATAL: The difference is Repository 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : Observed on scheduler system: Repository: clear2 * 33 65 # Tue Nov 24 09:58:51 2009 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : Mismatch on clear6: Repository: clear2 * 33 65 # Tue Nov 24 13:33:03 2009 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : FATAL: Host 'clear4' failed self-test. 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : FATAL: Host 'clear6' failed self-test. 2009-11-24 13:33:06 scheduler[5521] : FATAL: Self Test failed. Inconsistent agent(s) detected. Exiting. ============================================== I just started fossology manually '/etc/init.d/fossology start' just to see... Running out of options I decided well what if I just play with the fossology UI and test things. I started to upload files and it was added to the queue, and it looked as if the scheduler started running jobs on all the agents. So I checked to look at the directories of the mounted agents /srv/fossology/repository/clear1/, 2/, 3/, 4/, 6/ and I saw files there that were just created. =========================================== gmarq...@san-clear5:~$ sudo ls /srv/fossology/repository/clear1 gold license selftest.txt gmarq...@san-clear5:~$ sudo ls /srv/fossology/repository/clear2 gold license selftest.txt gmarq...@san-clear5:~$ sudo ls /srv/fossology/repository/clear3 license selftest.txt gmarq...@san-clear5:~$ sudo ls /srv/fossology/repository/clear4 license selftest.txt gmarq...@san-clear5:~$ sudo ls /srv/fossology/repository/clear6 license selftest.txt gmarq...@san-clear5:~$ sudo ls /srv/fossology/repository/clear6/files cd ce cf d3 d5 d6 d7 d8 d9 da db dc dd de df e0 e1 e4 e5 e6 e7 e8 e9 eb ec ed f0 f1 f2 f3 f4 f6 f8 f9 fa fb fc fd fe =========================================== Whether its working or not, I'm not sure. Question: 1). Any way to confirm if it's working as expected? (besides trying to look at the webserver results) 2). Uploading from Server didn't work for me, any docs on this? How can I easily specify a source directory to have uploaded with all the data I want processed. Upload from Server, I cp'ed directory to /tmp/Framework_code/ made sure fossy was owner, etc. Logs said '/tmp/Framework_code: does not exist". -FuRoSh....
