I'm looking to setup a FOSSology instance for the gNewSense GNU+Linux
distro. I was... shocked... shall i say, when i heard the memory
requirement: A fossology db for their upcoming release (version 3.0,
code-named metad) would be about 8GB.

Since it'll be a multi-user installation with different people working
on simultaneously working on different aspects, will FOSSology try to
hold the entire database in memory? If so I need to get a different
machine as the one I was planning to use maxes out at 8GB of RAM and
I'd like something that can be used without swapping.

Plus I read somewhere that FOSSology itself needs ~2GB ram iirc to run
well so I should be adding this on top of the database requirement?
