Thanks Bob, OK - I'll try that and provide feedback :) I've tar-ed the database and repo of a "test" 1.2 install I created from the Ubuntu repo ;) My first "giant leap" to 2.3 didn't work as expected. Hopefully 1.2 to 2.0 may work better - With 2.3 a few locations and utilities mentioned in http://www.fossology.org/projects/fossology/wiki/Install_2_0/diff/2 seem to have disappeared - A quick web search also failed to yield much useful information. Sometimes we who work on the project lose track of the fact that users don't want to upgrade every time we come out with a new release. I just looked in our releases directory http://www.fossology.org/releases/ and we only have packages going back to 2.0.0. What I'd recommend is this: 1) upgrade to 2.0.0 2) upgrade to 2.3.0 I haven't tried this myself, but it seems like it would work. If you try it, please let us know.
