Hi Kotrappa,

With your command, works well on my server(Debian 6.0, 64bit, fossology-2.6.1,
install from source), please restart the scheduler, then try more tests.
What is your OS version? Are you using 2.6.1, package install, right?

Subject: Issue with cp2foss command returns before nomos still running even
though -s option is specified.

Hello Lary,

I ran the following command on some big zip file ( about 20 mb), this command
returns before nomos is still running.
I have specified -s option, but still returns before nomos has finished. Let me
know if anything wrong in command.

cp2foss --username fossy --password fossy -d 'test file' -f 'NTG5/FOSSScan'
-q agent_unpack,agent_pkgagent,agent_nomos,agent_monk,agent_copyright -s
some_file.zip

finished scanning thru command line

Hi Lary,

Yes cp2foss of FOSSology 2.6.1 has -s option. I run -s option on sample zip
file.
It works fine, it waits until scan is done, and then fo_nomos_license_list can
be run on upload Id.

Thanks for information.

Regards
Kotrappa.

Hi Kotrappa,

Please confirm if your version of cp2foss has option 's', if yes, add it to
test again.
Hope it helps.

Subject: [FOSSology] how to track that agents have finished scanning thru
command line

Hello Bob,

I am trying to use commands cp2foss, fossjobs to upload a zip file and scan.
I understand that cp2foss uploads files to fossology, and immediately starts to
unpack, scan for license and copyright information for a upload Id unless -q
is specified.

How do I track that scanning has been finished for a upload Id? So that I can
then use fo_nomos_license_list and fo_copyright_list to fetch license/copyright
information.?

Can I use some looping method or wait for some definite time and then use
fo_nomos_license_list and fo_copyright_list to fetch license/copyright
information?

Regards
Kotrappa.
