Hello,

I've been using Fossology regularly for about a month now. I'm hoping
someone on the list can help me determine whether Fossology has existing
functionality to assist with the following:

A colleague and I have each separately been running our own Fossology
instances on our desktop systems (me using Docker, him on a VM). We have
each been separately scanning and clearing results for various repositories.

We're now hoping to migrate our existing data (clearing results, etc.) to a
single fresh install of Fossology on a network server. I'm aware that we
can't just dump the data out of the databases and merge them, since we're
presumably going to have overlapping IDs for the various upload, file and
clearing decision tables.

I've found some information on the old Fossology wiki about backups and
restores, but if I understand correctly, that appears to be relevant only
for backing up and restoring a single instance -- not for combining data
from multiple installs.

My question is: is there any functionality in Fossology that can help with
exporting scan and clearing data from multiple installs, and importing the
data into a single new instance in a clean manner?

Thank you,
Steve
