For a practical example, the Schools Wikipedia is proving enormously popular with teachers in countries of all economic levels. Requires something that can read a DVD, or have said DVD dumped onto its hard disk somehow, and in print it'd be roughly 15 Britannica volumes. So an encyclopedia is proving wanted in practice. Textbooks would be fantastic too, of course. But Wikibooks doesn't (AIUI) have a complete set of those yet. - d. _______________________________________________ foundation-l mailing list [email protected] Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l
