At least in 2006 (I guess it happens today too but not in that extent because of mobile internet and stuff) you could also see Wiki bumps the other way around: http://wikipedistik.de/2006/07/01/enzyklopaedie-fussball-01/ (German again). Wikipedia requests decline during events where people do certain other things.
