I will personally bankroll any fork that will have the momentum of one third of editorship behind it, or in a pinch just a quarter of editorship, if nearly half of the core editors are included in that quarter. I guess I should qualify the above by saying I will not bankroll a hostile fork. I will not bankroll somebodys private project. Has to have real momentum, otherwise no point in forking, might as well try to work things out *within* the community. Just to be clear, I might not join a hypothetical fork myself as an editor, but I feel the ability to fork is so precious a boon for projects like us, that it would be worth it to bankroll one purely on the principle of the thing. -- -- Jussi-Ville Heiskanen, ~ [[User:Cimon Avaro]] _______________________________________________ foundation-l mailing list foundation-l@lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l
