Really?! How is not having realised that this new feature would break 1000's of images and preventing it not something going wrong in the planning? (And yes, I mean "break" - they displayed correctly before and they don't now, the fact that the EXIF data was corrupt isn't anywhere near as important as how they actually display on the sites that use them.)
