MS's next file formats might be widely used, but it's worth noting that MS are not using the ECMA approved OOXML. They're using a slightly different format. Their most recent word processor does not display OOXML documents correctly. They have also said they will walk away from OOXML if ISO changes it significantly, so they may never try to implement it. -- CiarĂ¡n O'Riordan __________________ \ Support Free Software and GNU/Linux http://ciaran.compsoc.com/ _________ \ Join FSFE's Fellowship: http://fsfe.org/fellows/ciaran/weblog \ http://www.fsfe.org _______________________________________________ foundation-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-list
