Hi I have a problem with some SFP+ and XFP transceivers, manifactured by Skylane, i installed on some FCX and ICX switches. I need to monitor signal strength and temperature, but even if I enabled optical monitor on the interface, the show optic command gives me an empty output. In the switch syslog, I see an error recurring every 3 minutes (the default monitoring schedule):
SYSTEM: Optic is not Brocade qualified (port 1/3/1). I am sure that the transceivers support DDM, is there a way to tell the switches to ignore the manufacturer and just use the standard DDM/DOM features to monitor the transceivers? Thanks Futhwo
