Giovanni,
when the spca5xx_LE patch is applied to the kernel, spca5xx_LE become part of 
your kernel like videodev and you need to answer y or m when you configure 
your kernel source (with make menuconfig) . The only difference is videodev 
is in the main source kernel tree, spca5xx_LE is an outsider module, but in a 
Free World there are outsider :)
