but I'm afraid it was my own fault after all :-(
I didn't have subversion installed when trying to install the new SDK.
Running ./install_svn_sdk.sh does give you some messages about the
missing 'svn' command etc. But the script doesn't fail with something bad
like : " Hey, if you don't have subversion I will not go on !"
If you ignore these messages, like I did, the fixes from repository will
simply not get installed and you end up with the 'old' Menu in make
menuconfig.
Sorry for the inconveniance and thanks for caring...
