I made it with kernel 2.6.15.
You need to configure the kernel too, by selecting the videodev and the spca5xx
modules. Then you will be able insert those two modules into the kernel.
However, I have a problem with servfox (webcam server program). After 11 hours
and some minutes, the kernel is always reporting an "out of memory" message and
is killing the servfox process.
Maybe Ernst is right: it is only working with kernel 2.4.
Best regards,
Giovanni

you use the 2.6er kernel? I think spca5xx won't work with this one, but
only with 2.4.31
