please check on this page info:

 and look if you have a LX816 or a LX416

The only reason why you should receive this message is if you are trying 
to flash a 8MB image on a 4MB Fox Flash size.

Anyway try to flash the Fox with a LX416 image and see if it is working 
(you should always be able to flash a 4MB image on a 8MB Fox).

Please report here your findings.

Since the flash procedure is not completed your Fox should be still 
functional with the original image.
Try to do a df command on the Fox from a console or telnet or ssh 
session with the Fox and please report the output data.
