Hi all,

a long time has passsed, since i bought my first fox more than 2 years
ago and set out to build a mp3 player. En-route i reworked the SDK in
what used to be known as the phrozen patch and is now the offical sdk
tree, build lots of drivers, help realize the foxvhdl, did lots of
support, several talks on the foxboard and recently also the first
experimental openwrt support, i have however not managed to complete a
mp3 design

this has now changed :-)

i just finished the first version of the article about the tiny mp3
pcb i made and how to use it.

the foxmp3 has a fully functional and thoroughly tested software
package, which i added to the subversion last night and some exmple
apps on how the foxmp3 can be used to add voice capabilities to your
design

i will be adding much more info in the following days about this, like
how the streaming server works etc.

For me this is a mission complete :-) i now use the foxboard + mp3
adapter to stream different music into every room here at home and in
the office :-)

the article can be found here :

(schematics are still missing, i am just tidying it up now and also
the part on how the stream server is instaleld and works)

for those interested, the pcb can be acquired through my webshop

greetz,

john
