the cris kernel does not yet support the generic gpio layer of the  
kernel. gpio_ctl wont work out of the box. you will have to make a  
driver for it first

cutrrently you should use the cris way to control the gpio pins from  
userspace. the acme homepage has several really good articles on how  
to do this
