Did you run arp -n into Foxboard?
That seems to have a DNS problem only (ubuntu) or just your gw not 
set. Try to add the gw.
For the foxboard you should take a look how to remove the FIXED ip 
while using DHCP.

I am just curious if someone has got SDK 2.01 running on ubuntu 8.10.
For the fist time since ubuntu 7.10 the gnome applet works like a 
charm and should take care of the ethernet configuration and DNS 
setup, just right click on the applet e check the active connection 
information to see the DNS and route are correct. Once gnome applet 
is in charge you cannot setup manually using ifconfig.

I think it is not what you have asked help for, but....
