Hello, just a short update to close this topic & to provide this information here for future use: it works... ;) I connected the TX line of the 5V TTL device directly (= by just using a cable without any additional parts) to the RX line of the foxboards 3,3V LVTTL port J10, connected RX directly to TX, and of course ground to ground, and both receiving information at the foxboard as well as sending information from the foxboard to the attached device works fine (at 19200 baud).
