Thanks Mark. That gets the ADC sorted. I did find there is an spi device listed under: /sys/class/spi_master And this stuff: /sys/bus/spi/devices /sys/bus/spi/drivers/dataflash /sys/bus/spi/drivers_autoprobe /sys/bus/spi/drivers_probe /sys/bus/spi/uevent
No idea what it all means.
