Tommy,
There are 2 ways I know to read information from a VAX or OpenVms into an
object on the I/A.
1. I don't if this still works but you can use Object Manager calls
(om_setval) to read a record in an opened file on the I/A. This file can be
FTP'ed from the VAXII in ASCII format. If this needs to automated a command
procedure on the VAXII can FTP the file when the file is created and the I/A
can use a script to open the file and read it when it gets to the I/A.
Object Manager calls can be found in FoxDocs B0193BC.
2. This way uses the FoxAPI read values from a file opened as a data set.
The file should be formatted when created to be opened by FoxAPI sbopen() or
sqopen() and read into a I/A Object. There are examples in FoxAPI B0193MC.

Does anyone have or know of a neat and clean way to get information from a
VAXII to I/A without using FOXAPI?
