On our AW's the crontab runs every week the chk_awp tool made by Angel
Corbeira.

The chk_awp sends automatically a report to my mailbox.
All you have to do is compare that with the previous report.
The report gives you a lot of information about free HD space, mirroring
status, uptime & load, running processes info, cpu and memory info, IPC
connections, core files, big files, crash files, dump files, user/system
login and last but not least the CRON LOG FILE size.
When used hd space exceeds 75 % I start to clean up the AW.
