Use the fh_sacego program in /usr/fox/disp_tools. Either with this QF or I
think it is standard in current versions of AIM

 Problems Addressed
------------------------------------

This quick fix is for Operator Action Journal to work with AIM*AT Historian
2.5.

It corrects a problem in the OAJ. OAJ calls the ace reportwriter to extract
the operator alarm
messages from the AIM*AT historian database. The ace report writer comes up
empty because the
AIM*AT Historian database is not an informix database. The QuickFix replaces
the the
/usr/fox/disp-tools/oajgen script with a new version that call a fh_sacego
program.
The fh_sacego program produces the same output as the sacego prduced.

The fh_sacego program can be called directly also. The usage can be listed
by executing
fh_sacego without argument.

Note that the -m argument is a new argument, the system monitor messages are
printed in
place of the operator action message. The new argument, -m, is only
available from the command
line and not via the operator action journal.

Subject: System alarms & new historian

I have been ahppily using a "form" that I got from this lst for over a year
now to mail several of us new system alarms on all the Foxboro nodes in our
zone. Thes nodes are using the Informix based historian.

Now another zone (against my recomenadation) has installed the new
historian. Is there any way to extract system alarms from it?

Windows 98: n.
useless extension to a minor patch release for 32-bit extensions and
a graphical shell for a 16-bit patch to an 8-bit operating system
originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor, written by a 2-bit
company that can't stand for 1 bit of competition.
