Rodolfo,
I for one agree totally!!!!! If I buy eeeek!! Microsoft W2000 I can
only load it on one box, but I can pick and choose which one!!! And
change my mind as often as I see fit!!!
Display managers are the same way a DM is a DM!!!!
Can't help with an answer at this point, but maybe encouragement will
help!!
They do it because right now the can but.... "This too, as all things,
will change."

Subject: AW51B1 to AW51D Hardware upgrade - Foxboro's software licens

Hi there!
We need a lawyer for this question, and I hate it.
We actually have a AW51B1 / WP51D running at V.6.1
We will like to upgrade the AW's hardware from sparc4
to UltraSparc10 (as the WP51D) but foxboro's sales people
said we shall go thru advantage program and pay again our
AW51's software licenses (With a discount they said)
We really do not understand why should we buy again the
software license if we will get the same software and applications
benefits since we don't want to upgrade the software version just the
hardware!
How can we get the Foxboro's license agreement where they established this
policy? or better yet, Where to find something in paper to let us proceed
with
the hardware upgrade by our own?
Thanks in advance to all of you
Rodolfo Piedra
