When you talk about the SMDH bar, are you talking about the System button
that open up your System Management ??? If so, what you want to do to limit
access is to modify the init.user file in the /usr/fox/wp/data directory.
The file may not exist so what you will have to do is copy the init.user.rel
to init.user and modify the latter file. The SYS_PROT parameter is what you
will want to assign a access level to. This will work in conjunction to the
access levels that you assing for your Environments. You need to reboot the
station before the changes will take effect.
Hope this answers your questions...

Subject: System Bar Restriction
In FoxView there are 3 menu bars: Display Bar (along side), Menu Bar (top)
and System Bar (right below) for SMDH and AM. Does anyone know where I
modify the file to restrict access to SMDH? I have had no problems working
with/modifying the other 2 bars.
Thanks,
Diane
