Alan,

There are several ways to do this.

In sequence code, you can do this by setting the display manager global,
DMCMD. The display manager checks this global every half second and
executes whatever command is there, so:
     :AW51B1DMCMD := "dmcmd applic /usr/scripts/xtools.sh";
will run the /usr/scripts/xtools.sh script on box AW51B1.

>From the Unix side, you can start a process that periodically checks the
value of your CIN block, running your script whenever it matches your test.
 You can check using OMGET (generates broadcast for block info) or access
it from the Historian. You can either loop this processor schedule it in
crontab.

Does anyone have any experience with running a script triggered by an event
in a
CP? Ideally I want to trigger a script to run from sequence code or when a
CIN
block goes true.
