Third part software will not provide the functionality we desire, for several
reasons.
1. We need to implement this solution for a large varity of dfferent systems,
IA iA, AB, Diamond Power. etc.
2. To the best of my knowledge no third part software stores the data in a
relational database.
3. Als to my knowledge no tird pary software provides web based seacr tools.
4. Also the life span of systems in our mill tends to extend beyond the
comercial existence of many software providers. We have systems that are based
upon comercial software, thatwe do not have source code to, that the software
vendor ahs long ago ceased to exist. This is hugely problematic.

Windows 98: n.
useless extension to a minor patch release for 32-bit extensions and
a graphical shell for a 16-bit patch to an 8-bit operating system
originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor, written by a 2-bit
company that can't stand for 1 bit of competition.
