The only problem with the new archive is that it is under the "forbidden"
website list under our company policy. Guess the archive's are not an option
for me. Isn't it nice to be monitored.

Subject: [ADMIN] List Archive
First off, I'd like to thank Harry Forbes for his effort at archiving the
list messages on one of the Foxboro forum servers. Unfortunately, his not
having root privileges on that box proved fatal to the effort. Thanks
anyway, Harry.
I recently tried a different tack at providing archive for the list, and I
think I've come up with a reasonable solution at mail-archive.com. The
messages are archived automatically and they also provide search capability
on the archived messages. (Stan Brown ought to be happy to know that they
use htdig for their search engine.)
The archive is accessible here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/foxboro%40lists.thecassandraproject.org/
They claim to index and provide search access to all archived messages,
although only the most recent 3000 messages are shown. Over the weekend I
fed about 2700 messages dated back to January 2000 to the archive, and they
are mostly there by now, although they haven't all been indexed for
searching yet.
(A problem: the messages that were sent in fancy text have been horribly
mangled when I bounced them to the server for archiving, although the recent
ones that were archived as they were delivered fare much better. You'll know
it when you come across one.)
More information about mail-archive.com is available in the FAQ:
http://www.mail-archive.com/faq.html
Please let me know if you have any question.
Regards,
Duc
