Hi Everyone!

Goodness, life as been one wild ride after another recently. Nick and Brian
left night before last, having done a marathon of jobs before they got here,
and were still sharp, funny, fresh as daisies and jawdroppingly amazing as
ever. Calgary's facee painters will never be the same again! I am in the
process of sifting through thousands pix...and will send some on when I am not
dashing for the door to another gig.

Most of you will be unaware of www.puttinontheglitz.ca - (my other name!),
which is NOW able to offer DIAMOND FX paints to its customers. Currently, we
are awaiting a shipment of professional sizes (and YES...white will be
available), however, I have a lovely stash of the brand new, appetizer packs -
of either 12 or 6 colours. Each puck has 10g of paint (much bigger than the
'other' type on the market)(basic range, UV/Met range, N/B's choice range, and
Flesh range)

Now, my apologies, I have been running around chasing my tail, and until next
week am booked solid, so haven't uploaded pix of the new products on to the
website...(actually haven't been able to get to the website in weeks!!!) - so ,
Please, if you are interested in purchasing the new pallettes, or indeed,
interested in adding it to your kits, please email me of list, and I will make
sure we offer you the BEST customer service imaginable! Please note: These
paints are for sale from Canada.

Now I have to dash.... I am spending the day at the Masters Horse jumping
chamipionships...lots of men in jodphurs ................its a tough life as a
face painter!

love you all

Lizzie

To: FPBA <[email protected]>

> I just spent a few days at Z's house in CT for Nick & Brian's
> workshop. What a great time and a fantastic group of people!
> We all had so much fun and learned some great techniques. I
> really appreciated having things explained while we were
> painting (as far as WHY a shadow falls HERE, and WHY a
> highlight goes THERE). These guys really do understand the
> structure of the human skeleton and muscles. Every design
> painted ended up looking like a 3 dimensional mask when
> finished. I found it fascinating how the face became animated
> simply by highlighting and shading in specific placement on the
> face. The guys were very attentive and willing to answer any and
> all questions. I recommend this workshop to the beginner as well
> as the advanced artist! Well worth the money!
>
> Many of the attendees were friends that I already knew. Some
> were those I knew only from the forum. By the end, I felt like
> we were all friends. This group was very relaxed and non-
> competitive. Just friendly painting and good talks, laughs and
> stories. I have to thank Gina and Jessica Johns who brought us
> the most wonderful (yet disturbing amounts) of fresh pastry,
> bagels and coffee each morning. YuM, Yum, Yum!!! You ladies are
> crazy!!! But I love ya!!!
>
> Now, I have to say that Z has got to be the most gracious and
> attentive hostess I have ever come across. I was fortunate
> enough to stay at her house during the workshop. Wanna talk
> about being SPOILED????? Dierdre and I shared a beautifully
> decorated room which was more comfortable than staying at a high
> end bed and breakfast! We had our own stack of folded towels and
> washcloths topped with a gift of specialty soaps to welcome us
> upon arriving. Z's snack pantry was full of everything and
> anything we could possibly want including cookies, chips, nuts,
> granola bars, dried fruits and more! Our workshop was held in
> her gorgeous great room with a fantastic view of the pool and
> gardens outside. How nice to spend all day learning while
> enjoying the fresh air and sunshine in the luxury of a big comfy
> couch! So much nicer than being in a banquet hall with
> fluorescent lighting! Did I mention how spoiled we were? Even
> Z's husband, Martin was mixing us cocktails
> one evening and I think we just about cleaned out their
> bar!
>
> Anyway, I could go on and on......
>
> I just wanted to publicly thank Z for all the hard work and
> effort she put into making this workshop a wonderful experience
> for all. I know that many of you know the crazy side of Z. This
> weekend I was able to experience the mellow side too. I just
> wanted to say that she is truly one of the most genuine people I
> have met in a long time. She is truly a giver of herself and her
> time. A person with a good heart who cares about others. I'm so
> glad I got to spend a few days getting to know her better!
>
> Okay okay.....here are some pictures!!!!
