I use an Ott Lamp. It is a vertical rectangular box shape that sits on
your table (it's about half the size of a shoe box if you stood it on
end). To turn it on you just have to lift up the arm. All the light is
focused down. I use it when doing glitter tats so I can see my glitter
colors. I do a lot of Mitzvahs and it is usually very dark. I also
have a little ear light that is battery operated. It gives just a
little light on the model. Working in dark rooms is not easy but it is
possible and you get used to it. Ott Lamps are sold at Joannes, if you
have one near you. The came in table models and floor models. The
light is a very natural light which is great.
