Here are the guidelines that will be posted with the photo page. As a reminder we generally do not post the photo page until we have the first submission. Cynthia is working under a deadline. She needs a winner selected before November 23. That means we need to start voting Nov 21, 2008. This means we need to receive all photos BEFORE Nov 18 as we need to prepare AND post the photos to the web page. Sorry folks but Rome was not built in a day. The bottom line is we will receive photos between today and November 18th. That is ABOUT SIX WEEKS. We will stop receiving photos on November the 18th at 8am Central Standard Time (Texas time). We will put full face designs at the top of the page and body painting at the bottom of the photo page. Those on the SNAZAROO discussion list and members of FPBA may vote when we open it to voting. ONE VOTE per person regardless if you are a member of FPHQ and FPBA Association. For the full face you must paint at least half the face. Cheek art submissions will be declined. Designs on the arm or leg would be called body-art and must be a MINIMUM of 8 inches in any direction. A small design for example on the arm would be rejected. Submissions must fit the theme “story books and fairytales”. If it is not obvious to us, then we will ask how it fits into the theme. Cynthia needs larger images if it is to be in the magazine BUT DO NOT SEND IMAGES TO US LARGER THAN 350kb or they will not be accepted. Hurry and start painting! ;o) The Face Painting and Body Art Convention is January 4-8th, 2009 with a theme "Storybooks and Fairy tales" we are opening a contest targeting this theme. Submissions can be Full Face Facepainting (full face must cover at least half the face) or Body Painting (PG 13 rules apply) Submissions must somehow fit the theme. Those that submit might be asked how their submission fits the theme. You may enter BOTH contests. Contest deadline is November 23, 2008. Prize winners will be chosen by their peers through the regular Snazaroo voting rules. 1st Prize, Subscription to the FPBA Magazine and feature artist in the FPBA Magazine. All winning photos, including honorable mentions, will be published in the FPBA Magazine (The FPBA Magazine is full color, features articles and artwork from artists across the nation and is distributed around the world) We will post all submissions on the same page but people will vote for entries on both the face painting as well as the body painting. The contest will end on Nov 23 regardless of the number of submissions. Based on editorial discretion, one winner will possibly have the opportunity to be the cover of the FPBA Convention booklet/ FPBA Magazine and /or the Convention T-shirt. (not all designs lend themselves well, dimensionally, for a cover) All winning entries, including honorable mentions, are the property of the FPBAA for the purposes of promoting the FPBA Convention (possibly on a Convention t-shirt) and will be published in the FPBA Magazine. Members of the Snazaroo list will vote for the winner, in regards to 1st place prize, but FPBA has the right to select the photos of their choice for the the FPBA promotional purposes.
