I'm with Deb...I usually take 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours for a pregnant belly. It's a bit different than working on hands and the whole idea is to turn it into a pleasant pampering experience. When I do henna on hands, I've been known to tell people who tend to move their whole body when they talk to sit on their other hand so that they stay still. With pregnant mamas, I will just pause and let them talk or move or do what they need to do...so it just takes longer.
Make sure your mama has gone to the restroom just before you get started and has a glass of water nearby or people to fetch stuff for her. Have her in a mostly upright, but semi-reclining position with her back well-supported by cushions. You want her as comfortable as possible. If she's at that gotta-go-pee-every-5-minutes stage, you might want to start with the top half of the belly and give her a break to go potty before starting the bottom. ~Erika --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Face Painting and Body Art Association."
