Greetings Artists!

I’m working on a major special project with a team - which is under
wraps for now. I hope to share details about it with you in the near
future.

I would really appreciate your assistance if you have any photos that
you could send me of Wizard of OZ character makeup designs (using
water-based or theatrical makeup) that you’ve done or to resources
that you could refer me to. (Your photos will be safe with me; I
would not use unless with permission.)

I’m most interested in the primary characters - including Witch,
Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Glenda, Dorothy in addition to others from
the film. I’m dreaming about Broadway type designs - which I’d like
to be the best possible, and I don’t have much time. It would be
great to consider other artists interpretations as research
assistance. Thank you if you can help!

There is a photo page on Snazaroo for the Wizard of Oz. (What an
amazing site Snazaroo is! Thanks Gary!) http://www.snazaroo.us/02/oz.htm
It’s a bit dated (2002) but has nice design elements in many of the
photos.

I don’t want to limit creativity to the movie type characters - and
would love to see photos of great witches, scarecrows, lions and etc.
We should have plenty of time to do quality designs.

Best regards,
Neena
