I received a request for names of bodypainters in the Orlando area to work with the Nao Dance company there. This group was part of the Bodies Alive! show that Lorraine and I produced for the May FABAIC convention, and they are interested now in using bodyart as part of other performances. (You might have seen the fotos of them in black and white tribal bodypaintings in the Illusions magazine review of the convention).
It will be art for art's sake, as best I can tell, with no or little pay. Please contact me if you are interested, and I will put you in contact with them. It sounds like they will need more than one artist. -Christopher Agostino [EMAIL PROTECTED] Here's what their director wrote: I have a wonderful show coming up December 6th and 7th in Orlando Florida. It is called" Alice Takes Wonderland, this time it's for keeps!" I am in need of some help body costume wise. I am very interested in trying to make my vision come alive of my Cheshire Cats and my wonderful White Rabbit, maybe even my caterpillar. I have the basic costume done but I now know that I have experienced body painting that I am missing this element in my show! I am in need of 2-4 body painters that are creative and live in Orlando or are willing to travel to Orlando to create my four charters that need some face, sleeves and maybe even some leg body painting. I do have a specific feel and energy for the characters but no design of body paint yet so I would need some one who can create on the spot since we are an improve dance company things change each night we perform! Do you think you could guide me to the right people if you are not interested in doing this project? Now the problem is I do not have a budget for this to pay as of right now but if the show does well I will pay what I can.
