"This was a social experiment about perception, taste, and priorities of
people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate
hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the
talent in an unexpected context? No one knew this, but the violinist was one of
the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces
ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars " to normally to sold out
audiences................and folks did not even stop a minute to listen because:

"in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty?
Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected
context? Maybe not. How much can you hear/appreciate as you continue to walk on
by? It's a stop and smell the roses example, I think. In my opinion, it's an
interesting sociological experiment.

Did those who did the experiment ask if those walking by enjoyed the music??? I
often listen to buskers on the underground & enjoy them, but I don’t ness
stop!! There is also the concept of perceived beauty......was this music
beautiful to all those who heard it????
