OK, my sign works again..... I have a restaurant that I started about 8 weeks ago. Tips were lousy, sometimes as little as $15-$20 per night for a whole 3 hours. I decided I'd get out my tip sign last night and see what would happen. Tip sign reads: For your $5 tip Receive a fun FREE gift (Tip must be handed to face painter.) Well, it worked! Last night I got $71 in tips and it was actually a bit slower than usual because of Easter week! YEA! (I put in the bit about the tip having to be handed to me because my experience was that SOME people would just tell me they put it in the jar and I am POSITIVE they didn't put the whole $5. The gift was a balloon yo-yo water balloon on a rubber band. You can get them on the internet for about 20 cents each.) Amazing how some people would have given you $1-$3 and they put it back in their wallet and get out a $5 bill. Just thought I'd share with you. Arla
