FRIDAY, JUNE 5th $10.00 3 PM - 8 PM LOCATION: Fantasma Magic, located across from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station Upstairs in same building as Sbarro Restaurant, 2nd floor. ENTRY ON W. 33rd St. Look for this restaurant Logo and colors. Fantasma Magic is located across from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station I spoke with the owner of Fantasma Magic today and it's a definite go- ahead for the face painting jam. They reiterated to me that they will require that anyone face painting a child needs to have insurance coverage. This means that you will bring your certificate of insurance with you, because I will need to know who does and who doesn't have. It's not a requirement that I would have ever asked you for, but being that we are paying guests ($10 ea) at this space, I ask that you please comply. If you do not have insurance, you are most welcome to come and participate by being an observer - and one can learn TONS by just walking around and watching how other people paint, the kits that we have, and how we work with children. The $10 fee: We are having our jam in the same place that they will be cleaning up for us and after us because the next day they will be hosting birthday parties. There will also be two employees working 1 hour extra each. If I can get the amount lowered, I certainly will try. As I have been told, it's a very nice space. Fantasma Magic will be advertising the event so that we have children coming through for our jam practice. Remember to bring your cards and any advertisements for your own business that you have. This is a time for us to play, learn, and practice. As I will be attending the International Face & Body Art Convention, May 21-24, I hopefully will have a few things to share for everyone. Bring your kits (brushes, sponges, spray bottle, cup(s), mirror, baby wipes, hair clips, etc.). If there is something that you would love to share with us, please let me know, as I would like to have a "Tips & Tricks" time. If there is something specific that you would like to practice on or learn to do, let me know, and I will consider having it as part of "Tips & Tricks." Some Wolfe Bros Paints in the 3 oz size will be offered at a discount. I will be gone beginning next Wednesday, May 20th, and returning on May 25th, but will be checking E-mail. We will have a nice space in which to have our jam, tables and chairs provided in a central location that most people can get to. Parking is expensive, but you can park on the street if you walk more towards 9th Ave in the lower numbers. So start out early. No snacks or coffee served, unfortunately (that I know of just yet) - but Penn Station has EVERYTHING, so be sure to get what you need - like water, coffee, snacks, etc. Anything else I might have left out? Please write to me. If you have not already written to me that you are coming, please do so, so that I can put you on the FP Jam Mailing list. So far, there are at least 10 people coming, and it's still early. It could easily go to 20. Try to come early, but if you cannot, try for 6 PM so that at the very least, you can have 2 hours with us. Oh, yes, and you are welcome to bring your child or your own model!!! Thanks!
