Well, they are labeled as face paint and honestly, the general public
just goes by that. The stuff is sold in stores where they usually shop
and most don't know about Snaz or other paint until someone tells
them. I used that junk for the first two times I painted until I
decided I was serious and wanted to face paint as a business. I knew I
couldn't do a decent job with that stuff so I searched online and
found someone who told me about Snaz. Most moms buying paint to paint
kids for a costume party of fundraiser wouldn't go that far. It would
be a one time thing and they would figure that's what face paint was
like.

Years ago when my son was in nursery school we did cheek art at a
fundraiser. I never thought a thing about it and we all used tempera
paint. No one died or complained of a rash. Of course, it wasn't the
best thing to do but I don't think they had any more paint on them
from our little designs than they got on themselves when they used the
paint in class to paint their little masterpieces. I guess we were
just lucky.

It's just too bad that this recall will make some people think that
all face paint could be dangerous and not book parties. I hope it dies
down quietly.
