Hello,
You know the flashing cups that have the L.E.D. lights in them? We sell them at our Booth set-up. It's great for evening tips with all the flashing, set them on a black peice of fabric one your table and a large sign by your menu board. I did see the same type of cup on Ma Ma Clowns table in Florida once in a photo. We are working 2- 5 hours gigs one hour apart!!! 10 hours painting, ease mats and neck coolers, a fan down under the table sounds Goood too, 90 degrees here in Oregon. Happy 4th of July... I just got a flashback from my waitressing days ... fold the bills lengthwise, then fold again with the middle part wrapping around your middle finger of your left hand ... both ends of the bills face the outside of your hand. It will be hard to miss! Maybe paint on your hand, 'Your Tips Hard at Work' Liz Alaniz www.wowartistry.com 210.771.1878 From: [email protected] To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: [fpba-assn] Re: working for tips Date: Wed, 1 Jul 2009 16:14:08 -0400 Oh, Pam, you ARE sly....holding those bills in your left hand! Made me smile! ROFL I suggested a sign that said, "Your tips are my ONLY pay tonight" Arla From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Sparky Sent: Wednesday, July 01, 2009 3:03 PM To: [email protected]; Face and Body Art Assn. Subject: [fpba-assn] Re: working for tips I do a combination of things. 1. I have professional "eye-catching" signs that I created on my computer in MANY different places making it OBVIOUS to people that I paint for tips. 2. I try to hold a wad of $$$$ in my left (non-painting) hand. Keeping a $5 and $10 on the outside of the bills for people to see. It took me awhile to get used to painting this way, but I believe it's paid off. I don't actually hold all of my tips....I keep those in my zippered pouch in my apron. 3. I wear a large button that says, "I paint 4 TIPS." Good luck and Happy Independence Day!
