Liz Small, Puttin on the Glitz, let me know that it would be unwise to
have your photo taken with a child that you were painting as a Marvel
character.  Disney is very vigilant about the rights to it's
characters and images.  If you are photographed actually painting
their design on a child, Disney could persue you on copyright
enfringment.  I think I'll start calling these characters other names,
such as Spider-guy, and Bat-Boy or something, and change up the design
somehow.  Facepainters don't have the rights to paint a copywritten
image if I understand this correctly.  Anyone out there with some
legal knowledge?
