Below are Face & Body Painting Terms I have come up with that everyone is welcome to use. I am sure I have come up with several others over the years but these are ones that popped into my head when I wrote them out.
Body Part Art: When you paint G-rated parts of the body such as shoulders, necks, arms, back or pre-natal belly painting. Body Striping (aka Pashur PinStriping, aka Pashur Somethings): Elegant designs - resembling pin striping -?body painted on parts of the body around clothes (such as body painting on the collar bone area - giving a nice accent to a woman's corset or dress. Cascading: When you repeat a design element on the face or body so that is flows over the face or?the body. FrankenFlesh: The result when you paint people to look like that have parts of the body sewn or stitched together. Quickies: Body Painted chest/breasts designs that are quick to do (only 10-15 minutes to complete). I sent this out to all of the google and yahoo face and body paint groups.
