Hi everyone, and thank you to those who participated in last night's meeting
of the North Jersey Face and Body Art Guild. We have 19 paid members, and
16 of them were there last night. Great fun was had as we learned how to
move the line with rainbow cakes, split cakes, and arty brush cakes. We
learned about new products from the craft store (dawbers for stencil work),
Silly Farm (a case to hold your arty brush palette) and Diamond Fx (new
split cakes that load horizontal instead of vertical). We learned about
conventions in November in Philly, January in Connecticut, February in Las
Vegas, and today I learned that the Orlando convention is on Memorial Day
weekend as in the past and NOT May 20, as some brochures read.

Thank you to Consie, Deb, Becky and Sandy for helping us teach the gang of
eager face painters. Thank you to all who were "painted" and to those who
shared their stuff.

Best of all congratulations to Jennifer who won a new rainbow cake for
traveling the farthest to the meeting: Bloomfield, by way of Nova Scotia,
or something like that.

The next meeting is Wednesday, December 2, Not December 3, due to a conflict
with a number of members and the book signing at Barnes and Noble for Cookie
Ippolito's new book.

I would like to stay at the IHOP in Bloomfield for one more meeting, but we
need to work it differently so that people eat in the restaurant and then
join us for the meeting on the "closed" side of the restaurant. Stay
tuned....and tell your friends to sign up, the location of the meeting will
reflect the membership and we will be rotating it around.
