I'm really pleased to be flying back across the pond and teaching at
this year's convention in Las Vegas. For those of you who don't know
me, I graduated from college here in London in 2004. I set up my own
freelance make-up and body painting business, and after a lot of hard
work I've now got a really good client list, and have done various
body painting projects for television advertisements, magazines, fine
art prints, cd music and book covers.
I also won the 2007 brush and sponge category at the World
Bodypainting Festival in Austria when I painted with my good friend
and fellow artist Carly Utting. And I was thrilled to win again this
year in July but in the SFX category. I live in Greenwich, London with
my beautiful cat Merlot, my little gecko Betty Wrinkle, and the tiny
terrapins Bob and Margaret!! But I will be leaving them behind to come
and meet up with a lot of old friends, and look forward to making lots
of new one!

I'm teaching a pre-class on how to put together the perfect body
paint. We will cover how, and where, to start a design, and everything
in between. Including blending techniques, point of light, highlights,
shading, adding fine details and sealing your work. This will be a
hand's on class so pick up your brushes and come along and join in the
fun!! :) I'm also putting together a useful folder with lots of hints
and tips and photographs for everyone who registers for the pre-class.
If anyone has any specific questions about the class, please feel free
to get in touch!!

You can check out examples of my work on my website www.getmadeup.com

Below is a youtube link to a body painting event that I did a couple
of weeks ago in Central London. I had a marvellous team helping me and
we had a 3am start, as we had to get the models ready for the busy
rush hour at 9am. It was tiring but great fun, and the client was very
pleased with the end result. Have a look, I think it's very
entertaining!! :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone,
Best wishes,
Carolyn :)
