So I have finally delved into the art of ballooning, after dragging my
feet, kicking and screaming....after learning from Shonna at Fabbulas,
I am converted to a facepainter/balloonist, something I NEVER thought
I would do...
I just bought her latest balloon DVD, "Big Bear Heads by Simply
Shonna". I cannot say enough about this. I have been learning and
remembering these balloons in under a week, and I now am able to do
other balloons which were shown to me previously. The kicker is
that my 10 year old has claimed the DVD as her own, and has been
whipping through the balloons with no help from me. She took them as
presents to a friend's birthday party last night and was a hit!
2 Reasons I wanted to share this:
1) I am like a converted smoker, trying to help others open new
doors, because I am so excited.
2) More selfishly, I am going to host her at my house in February,
and the more people I get, the longer I can
have her stay with me to continue learning...I am determined
to move up to the next level and learn from
the amazing Dustin in the next several months....I WILL be
offering balloons AND facepainting by spring!
We are also going to go over some "Sweetheart Balloons" just in time
for Valentine's Day....a HUGE hit for restaurant nights to getting
more gigs...you can see pics of these on Shonna's Facebook page if you
are lucky enough to friend her.....
Details so far:
Thursday, February 4th...
10am-5pm ....followed by a cocktail hour and
evening jam.....
Full day $125 (balloons and pump will be provided)
Full day $100 (you provide all your own balloons supplies)
Half day $75 (1:30pm-5)
