Hello everyone...
Today starts the official countdown for the 2010 FABAIC. 99
DAYS! Most of you know that I eat, breathe, and live the
convention. My team and I are now on overdrive and overtime to make
sure that our skills and experience will insure that the 9th annual
FABAIC will be the BEST QUALITY convention you will ever attend.
Personally, my goal is to make sure that you get the most for your
investment and that the convention will be an experience you will not
soon forget. Each one of you is important to me and you are my first
priority in all the decisions made.
a.. GREAT NEWS... We are excited to include (2) continental
breakfasts with your registration. We put our bargaining shoes on and
got the Doubletree to give us more for you guys. We know that with
food in your stomach you learn more and have more energy to have fun!
a.. We were also able to secure gift baskets and over $500 in
restaurant gift cards have been donated for our casino night prizes
(Ale House, Fridays, Cracker Barrel, Hooters, Bonzi Barbeque and Chick
Fillet) all within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel has agreed
to provide a reasonably priced lunch buffet and staff the restaurant
accordingly for a convenient and healthy fast lunch option. We will be
serving h'ordeurves and dessert on Thursday night and your 7 course
Gala Banquet meal is included in the registration. If this is not
enough and saving on meals is your thing, all the hotels rooms have
refrigerators! You can stock it up with what you choose. With Orlando
being the most visited city in United States fares are very reasonable
from everywhere in the country. However, we have decided to ask a
group of friends of FABAIC to be on the lookout for flights to Florida
from everywhere. We will pass the information on to you for each GREAT
fare that they find. Don't forget that the 4 star Double Tree hotel
allows you up to 4 people per room. You can save a lot if you are
willing to share.
a.. FUN NEWS..... Thursday night we are kicking off the
convention with a variety show (you will be surprised by the talented
performers. I can't tell you who they are or it will spoil the fun)
We have chosen Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.com) to be the
official charity of the 2010 FABAIC with part of the proceeds from our
smoke free casino going to benefit their humanitarian efforts in
Haiti. Each attendee will be given $1,500 in "Bling" money. When or if
you run out of your "Bling" money, more can be purchased. If you don't
want to gamble there's other options like visting our caricatureist,
have your fortune read by one of our psychics, or you can dance the
night away to the tunes of our highly energetic DJ and much more. If
you want to be mellow spend your "Bling" money on a chair massage or
if the child in you wants to come out and play, you can join the kids
in playing carnival games. At then end of the night any play money can
be exchanged for raffle tickets to win prizes such as a camera, a
Rainbow Cake kit, a large business size glitter tattoo kit, an
airbrush system, a one hour private one-on-one instruction with many
of our instructors, a full registration for our 2011 FABAIC
celebrating our 10 year anniversary which includes 4 nights in a
suite of the Double Tree Hotel, and so much more. Beware of the kids
because they are being taught a digital photography class and they
will be taking pictures of YOU and everything you do during the
convention. Our Young Artist track is going to be amazing as they
learn from the likes of Yolanda and Julian Bartram, Shay Amstrong,
Mark Reid, Kelly Virgona and Magic Mike. Paola Shenk and Julie Rose
are doing an amazing job of organizing this track to inspire the
future painters of the world.
b.. Don't forget about all the other added perks of the
FABAIC. There is morning Zumba to get your blood pumping, a Q & A
panel discussion on marketing and the legalities of our industry with
legal advice from an attorney, 2 hour hands on workshops, a GRAND gala
that is sure to blow you away, a Face and Body Art Competition with a
$1,000 cash prize and so much more! Why would you want to miss out on
all the fun and excitement?
The schedule and description of the of classes taught by over 60
of the most talented world wide instructors can be found at www.fabaic.com.
This gives you 99 days to decide which classes are best suited for
you. A printed copy will be included in the official FABAIC booklet
that you will receive upon registration. Competition rules will be
posted in the next few days. Trophies and cash awards will be
presented at the end of the competition as we have done every year.

If you are planning to attend, send us one image of your artwork
along with your name and where you are from. We are planning on adding
a picture gallery in our web site and Face Book pages to help you
start shining and getting to know eacchother before the convention
begins. The FABAIC is all about learning, sharing, networking and
working together to elevate the arts of face and body painting,
airbrushing, henna and glamour make up to levels never seen before.
      See you in 99 days!
