Dear Fellow Painters,

It's time to announce our Face Painting and Body Art Convention 2011 - the
dates will be from Feb 27 - Mar 3, 2011 at the beautiful Harrah's Hotel and
Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Our theme for the year is SEASONS AND HOLIDAYS.

Harrah's is a bit of a smaller hotel on the Las Vegas strip and is specifically
designed to cater to small and medium size conferences. At this current time,
the convention center is being TOTALLY REMODELED to bring in state-of-the-art
audio visual equipment as well as to create some wonderful spaces for people to
sit and have small group discussions (this is exciting, too, because their last
full remodel was in 2008 - they are committed to keeping their meeting space as
up to date as possible!). The conference center is situated on one floor and
has direct access from the single set of elevators in the hotel. There is no
need to go through a casino, restaurant or any open spaces to reach the meeting
space. This conference area is very open and spacious, with several doors that
take you out to the veranda and some beautiful gardens and additional space for
small groups to congregate.

The 2011 convention will include a full range of balloon sculpting and
decorating classes, marketing classes, airbrush classes, and of course face and
body painting instruction from some of your favorite teachers in the face/body
painting arena. Of course, we will also have a wonderful vendor room stocked
full of the best supplies in the industry with special deals just for
convention participants! Our vendor room and jam room will open to become one
large space each evening - the best of both worlds. Practicing AND shopping so
you can achieve the best results on your work.

Our website is the same, fpbaconvention.com , and I am currently taking classes
to learn how to do most of the updating myself. It is my personal and
educational goal to be able to communicate convention information to you in a
timely manner and also to have a space for everyone to upload pictures, ideas,
suggestions and thoughts on a 'forum like' section of the site. This should be
able to be implemented next week! Check us out and see what new applications
we have added!

As always, I will be available personally to answer any questions or concerns
via phone, e-mail or SKYPE. Phone number and e-mail address are included in
the signature line of this posting and if you do not have SKYPE go and register
for this FREE service (I personally use it all the time!). Search uraqtsparky
or Karen Owens on SKYPE if you would like to contact me that way.

I also have some exciting news I have been dying to share and I was holding off
the convention announcement until it was 'good to go', but the paperwork is
taking a bit longer than I would have thought. This project has been a year
long endeavor and when finished we will be able to hear a collective "SIGH"
from face painters, both sponge and brush and airbrush (balloon artists, too)
around the world! Either way, the moment it is all finalized I will be sending
out some information! Have I piqued your interest yet??? More details coming
soon! Happy Painting and remember to give away a smile today, I promise you
won't run out no matter how many you give away!
