Hi Joannie,
I do airbrush makeup and tattoos.  I recommend a compressor with an
airtank as pictured at http://glamairbrushmakeup.com/ click on "GLAM
FX" and scroll down to see the image.

I've been using a compressor like that for years now. Dual pistons
will compress the air faster, air tank means you never have to wait
for air.  I also recommend a "t" bar so you can run 2 at once, or
more.
