I would replace the carnival lighting for our festival face painting booth.
It is time for an upgrade. I plan on doing this anyway next month when I go
to the IAAPA tradeshow in Orlando.

"...What would you replace it with if you have...$500.00?..."

That's a big question. It all depends on what you're doing and what
it's for. If you're doing photoshops only and are looking for
vibrancy, but not concerned about longevity, then use whatever stricks
your fancy. European Body Art has some vibrant colors. Trendy Tribals
has a decent color selection and if you need custom colors, they can
mix them (minimum ounce amount applies). Kryolan's LUX is a favorite,
but can get costly. (I hear their black is the bomb!) Wolfe FX and
Graftobian's AB make-up are costlier, but are water resistant. Wolfe
needs soap and water to remove. Graftobian is a hybrid and is very
difficult to remove without their cleaner (IMO). Micahel Davy has some
great products, but you'll need to check out the color selection and
see if it's for you.
Sorry I couldn't help more,
Kat B.
