Dear Fellow Painters, I'm sooo excited! We finally have the new website up and live and I have the ability (and believe it or not, the knowledge) to make changes and updates as often as I want! In addition, we have the registration open with EARLY BIRD specials on BOTH the convention and PRE-CLASSES, too. Yes, a discount for pre-classes!!! Early bird convention rate is $275, a savings of $50! Early bird pre-class rate is $125, a savings of $25! When you sign up as an early bird for the convention you may also sign up as an early bird for pre-classes and you will be given first option to pick as soon as all the instructors and class descriptions are set in stone. Think of it this way, you have an extra $75.00 to spend in the vendor room!!! What a deal!
The basic schedule for the convention is Sunday, February 27 we will have pre-classes and on Friday, March 4 we will have post-classes. These are small group instruction with some of the best names in the industry and class sizes are limited. These classes are NOT included in the pricing for the regular convention registration and you must register and pay for them separately. Sunday night, February 27 we will have an opening party and jam with the debut of the vendor room and all of the wonderful suppliers that are sponsoring this event. On Monday February 28, Tuesday March 1 and Wednesday March 2 we will have classes offered all day long and in the evening there will be opportunities to jam and/or go on some wonderful excursions we are planning for you! The JAM ROOM WILL BE OPEN 24 HOURS so you can jam the night away. On Thursday March 4 we will have classes followed by a fabulous closing banquet filled with good friends, good food and good fun! Our location for this year is the Harrah's and the Imperial Palace Hotels and Casinos with special rates of $79.00 at Harrah's and $45.00 at Imperial Palace. These rates are available until January 15th and the codes are: SHFP11 for Harrah's and SIFP11 for the Imperial Palace. Call 1800- This year's convention will of course bring you some of the most talented instructors in the world and an array of classes for the beginner to the advanced! You will be able to get demo and hands on classes for face and body painting and marketing, with over 56 classes to choose from! In addition, we have a FABULOUS array of balloon decor and balloon twisting classes that will help you add more $$$ to your pocket as you improve your current skills or learn some new ones! Ken Stillman and Shonna Flanigan are working hard to put together an opportunity for you to pick from over 2 DOZEN classes on balloons, what a great value to go along with all of the face and body painting classes you will be able to take. We also have everyone's favorite airbrush artist, Nick Herrara, to take over the airbrushing room and he is working hard on giving you a wide assortment of airbrush classes, too. Whether you are a beginner, know a little about it or are an advanced airbrusher, you will be sure to learn some new trick and techniques to take your work to the next level. If you have your own airbrush system, please bring it along and you can have it "checked over" by our airbrush guys and make sure it's in perfect working order. If you don't have your own equipment, we will have some available for your use during class and jam times. As if this isn't enough reason to put the FPBA Convention on your schedule, we will also have planned outings so you can explore the Las Vegas and surrounding areas! Do you have an adventurous streak? How about a tour of the Hoover Dam, a trip to Lake Mead or the Grand Canyon? Prefer to check out the local Vegas attractions? We will offer a night of clubbing, Cirque De Solie shows, a visit to the MGM Grand animal sanctuary and a lot more!
